Special General Meeting Agenda
  1. Welcome and background
  2. Proposed updates to the Constitution of the Lake Macquarie Sustainable Neighbourhood Alliance (see details below)
  3. Meeting close
Summary of proposed change to constitution
The proposed change seeks to simplify the process to renew membership each year.

The existing constitution states that a membership form needs to be completed and submitted each year.

The proposed change seeks to clarify that a person only needs to submit a membership application form when they first join. Then membership is renewed annually by payment of a fee.

Download a copy of the Alliance constitution here. This document contains a mark up of the proposed changes using 'tracked changes'. Please let us know if you'd like a copy of just the updated version.

Seeking nominations for the Alliance Board
The Alliance Board plays a vital role to lead and support the Sustainable Neighbourhood network.
Board members provide leadership, oversight and practical support to Alliance members, and ensure that the Alliance fulfills its objectives and takes a strategic approach.

We are seeking conscientious volunteer Board Members to contribute their expertise and skills to make the Sustainable Neighbourhood network all that it can be. Members with business expertise, strategic planning, project management, fundraising and marketing are particularly encouraged to join the team.

The Board meets monthly, and is active via email at other times. Board positions include Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and Ordinary Board Members.

To nominate, complete the form below, and submit to the Returning Officer by 5pm, Thursday 11 November.
Board Members will be elected at the AGM on Tuesday 16 November.
