Dudley Community Research - Household survey

A survey to gauge community attitudes to sustainability issues was posted to approximately 900 Dudley households in December 2010.  In total, 148 surveys were returned.

The report details the results, and summarises the Values, Assets, Issues and Actions that are most important to Dudley residents.

Workshop One - Creating a Sustainable Dudley

Thirty Dudley residents participated in a community planning workshop in March 2011.  At the workshop, we:
  • heard about Council's Sustainable Neighbourhoods Program
  • further developed a vision for a sustainable Dudley
  • identified strengths and assets in Dudley and
  • identified key sustainability challenges, solutions and opportunities.

Workshop Two - Action Planning

In June 2011, the community came together again to initiate planning for a range of community sustainability projects.  At the workshop we:
  • identified individual skills, knowledge and passions
  • presented a range of community project ideas so far
  • developed objectives, and mind maps for each project and
  • set up contact lists and meeting times for each project.
