  Sustainable Neighbourhoods Lake Macquarie
Women and Work Life Balance
Part of our 'Charlestown Talks' series

We wanted to do something to enhance our sense of community in the Greater Charlestown area, and decided to run a series of interesting talks and discussion forums to open up communication and share local stories.

We started with our first forum in April 2015, with the 'Women and Work Life Balance' talk.
We organised a group of inspiring guest speakers including:
  • Jodie Harrison, Charlestown MP and Mayor of Lake Macquarie
  • Christine Aus, Doctor and single mum
  • Maree McCarthy, Horticulturist and small business owner

There was a great crowd who turned up for the evening, who enjoyed the opportunity to gain insights into the lives of local working mums, share time management strategies and learn from local women.

Stay tuned for the next talk in our series.  Keep up to date by liking our facebook page: www.facebook.com/greatercharlestownsng.
