Twilight Picnic in the Park
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED US TO CELEBRATE
HARMONY DAY - EVERYONE BELONGS
Recently we had people drop in to Wilkinson Park in Cardiff, from all over - literally.
People were asked to place a star on a large map of the world to show where they, or their family, had come from - and by the end of the picnic, there were stars all over the map.
Young and old enjoyed playing games, making friendship wristlets, looking at the historic photos of the area, cutting out a "hand of friendship" for a display, or just simply having a chat. Many wore clothing the Harmony Day colour of orange, or tucked into the oranges supplied for the day. We even had an impromptu performance of some Aussie bush poetry.
