Our group is a member of the Lake Macquarie Sustainable Neighbourhood Alliance.

To celebrate and sustain our coastal village community, its assets, and the surrounding natural environment for all to enjoy.

What do we do?

Keep residents informed through the Redhead Village Newsletter.
Support and manage Redhead's Cain Street Landcare and Cleanup Australia activities.
Advocate for local improvements, eg Webb Park, the Beach Rd pedestrian crossing and the Mine buildings' restoration.
Support local issues, eg, dog access areas and 4WDs on the beach.
Promote sustainable living, eg, promoting the use of Solar Panels on roofs.

Our Action Plan is...
The Redhead Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan was developed in consultation with the Redhead community and Lake Macquarie City Council, and it is based on the community’s vision and values. Our community's projects aim to preserve and enhance our environment and the lifestyle we enjoy.

The Lake Macquarie Sustainable Neighbourhood Alliance is registered as a not for profit incorporated association under NSW Fair Trading. Sustainable Neighbourhood activities are managed and governed by volunteers and financed through grants, collaboration and community fundraising.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land and waters on which we live, work and play, the Awabakal People, and acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who now reside in this area. We pay our respect to Elders past and present, and future cultural knowledge holders.
