Strengthen community ties by creating opportunities for inclusion of all residents in community activities.
Support local businesses and tradespeople, welcome new neighbours and visitors, look out for our older residents and the children of our neighbourhood.

Care for our environment

Understand the environmental challenges that may affect our neighbourhood now and in the future.
Maintain and enhance our natural assets.

Reduce our ecological footprint

Repair, share and reuse our resources and goods.
Reduce our energy, water, and consumption footprint.

Be prepared for natural disasters

Understand the risks to our community.
Learn what we can do as individuals and a community to prepare for natural disasters.

The Lake Macquarie Sustainable Neighbourhood Alliance is registered as a not for profit incorporated association under NSW Fair Trading. Sustainable Neighbourhood activities are managed and governed by volunteers and financed through grants, collaboration and community fundraising.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land and waters on which we live, work and play, the Awabakal People, and acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who now reside in this area. We pay our respect to Elders past and present, and future cultural knowledge holders.
