Living Smart Festival 2019

The Living Smart Festival is going to be a big one this year, including celebrating the festival's 10th year, and expanding to include the 'Sunday Sessions'.

Saturday 28 September, 8am-2pm - Main festival day, similar to previous years, with Costa, market stalls, workshops and lots more.
Sunday 29 September, 11am-4pm - Sunday Sessions, featuring relaxed live music, food vans and an over-18s bar.

Can you help?
Sustainable Neighbourhoods are running a number of activities to engage with the crowds on the Saturday and Sunday, and we are looking for volunteers to assist over both days.

Sustainable Neighbourhoods stall and wash up station. A promotional stall with focus on single use plastics, promoting our projects and recruiting new volunteers.
We'll be set up next to a coffee vendor, and as in previous years, we will encourage coffee customers to use our reusable cups and washing up them up for reuse.
Nature Play activities. Warners Bay Area Sustainable Neighbourhood Group will be running nature play activities. Training is required to volunteer for this activity. Please contact [email protected] directly if you'd like to help with the nature play activities.

We'll also be setting up a Waste to Art display in the Heritage Shed.

This means we need lots of volunteers to help over the two days!

Volunteering on our stall is a really fun day, and a nice way to spend some time with other Sustainable Neighbourhood volunteers. All the equipment and instructions are provided, and we have a great bunch of experienced volunteers there to assist and show you the ropes.

Please help by letting us know if you are available as soon as you can.
Shifts are generally 2 hours long, with set up from 7am on the Saturday; and 10am on the Sunday. Please let Rachelle know by 16 September if you are keen to help, and indicate your availability / shift preference for either Saturday, Sunday or both.

Promoting your upcoming projects
As in previous years, we will be developing a handout to promote upcoming Sustainable Neighbourhood projects. Please send details of your upcoming events to Rachelle by 16 September to have them included and promoted at the festival.
