Marine Debris Clean Up Held along Swansea Channel and Lake Macquarie Foreshore In July 2016 Caves Beach Swansea Heads & Swansea Areas Sustainable Neigbourhood Areas Group hosted a Marine Debris / Eco Angel Clean Up and a BBQ following the Clean Up Thanks to all the volunteers that prevented 39.5kg of litter from becoming marine debris in our waterways of Lake Macquarie and the Pacific Ocean Thanks to the support from: Hunter Local Land Services, Australian Government National Landcare Programme, Lake Macquarie City Council, NSW EPA "Waste Less Recycle More" Woolworths and Coles Supermarkets that provided for a BBQ for volunteers,Local Businesses that promoted our event and everyone including the Facebook community that spread the word To find out more about the Caves Beach – Swansea Area Sustainable Neighbourhood Group, visit www.sustainableneighbourhoods.org.au/caves-beach-swansea-area.
