Destash Events
What is a Fabric Destash event?
|
A Fabric Destash is a community resale event where makers can pass on the materials they love but no longer need — and where other creatives can pick up quality supplies at bargain prices. Our Fabric Destash brings together quilters, sewists and fabric enthusiasts who often find themselves with more beautiful fabric than they can realistically use. Excess is easy to accumulate, especially when creativity strikes, but a Destash gives those unused metres a new life.
By rehoming fabric instead of sending it to landfill, these events help reduce waste, encourage reuse and inspire new projects without the need to buy brand‑new materials. This is also an accessible and low cost way for beginners to start their home sewing journey. While our destash events have focused on textiles so far, the concept can grow to include other items in the future — keeping resources circulating and celebrating the joy of sharing what we love. |
