  Sustainable Neighbourhoods Lake Macquarie
Waste to art 2018
Challenge the way we look at waste!
Sustainable Neighbourhoods is challenging the way we look at waste with the 2018 Waste to Art exhibition.

The exhibition presents more than 30 works exploring ideas about waste, litter and over-consumption. School groups, individuals and community artists are showcasing their creative masterpieces, including thought-provoking images, beautifully crafted functional items and fun wearable pieces.
Exhibition Guide

Saturday 13 October - Sunday 25 November
SEEN@Swansea

First floor mezzanine, The Swansea Centre, 228 Pacific Highway, Swansea
Open 7 days, 10am-3pm
Waste and plastic pollution has an enormous impact on the local and global environment.
The Waste to Art exhibition confronts us all to consider how we might be contributing to the problem, and what we can do to move to a more sustainable future.
The works present a reminder to practice the ‘5 Rs’ of waste minimisation, Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, and Recycle.

Artworks are either:
  • sculptural or functional - created predominantly from waste items; or
  • imagery – images or artworks that communicate issues or inspiration around waste, litter and over-consumption.

We are so excited to showcase these works.
