Alternative Technology Association.  Promoting energy saving and conservation to households.  Website has a range of great information about renewable energies, and active public forums to discuss and ask questions.

Australian Conservation Foundation.  A range of information and inspiring stories about making your home green.  Also has a quick, simple Eco-calculator.

Climate Action Network Australia.  Climate Action Network Australia (CANA) is an alliance of over 65 regional, state and national environmental, health, community development, and research groups from throughout Australia.

Energy Matters.  Energy Matters is one of Australia’s largest companies solely dedicated to renewable energy.  Their website contains a wealth of information about sources of renewable energy systems, a great summary of rebates and incentives available, and community forums to have your questions answered.

Environment Victoria.  Victoria’s leading independent environment group.  Website has some inspiring sustainability tips and resources, including The Victorian Green Renters’ Guide: http://environmentvictoria.org.au/rentersguide.

Greenhouse Calculator (Victorian Government).  The Australian Greenhouse Calculator is a program that will calculate your yearly greenhouse gas emissions based on the information you provide. The calculator will also compare your greenhouse emissions with that of a ‘typical’ house and a ‘green’ house.

GreenPower.  Find out how to make the switch and cut your greenhouse gas emissions.  GreenPower is a joint initiative of ACT, NSW, SA, QLD, VIC and WA government agencies to guarantee that the renewable electricity you buy from energy suppliers meets stringent environmental standards.  With GreenPower, the choice to move to renewable energy is made simple.

Living Greener.  Australian Government website with information, how to’s and rebates for sustainable living.

Low Impact (US).  Low Impact is a website all about reducing our impact on the environment, and has hints, tips, resources and discussions that we hope people will find useful in lowering their impact.

NABERS - National Australian Built Environment Rating System.  The National Australian Built Environment Rating System, or NABERS, is a government environmental performance rating tool. NABERS is uniquely designed for Australian households and will help you understand how energy and water are used in your home and take action to make improvements.
